X-Men: The Dark Phoenix Saga
According to many X-Men fans, this saga is what made X-Men so popular worldwide. The entire saga had a long time coming. One can trace its beginning in 1976 when Jean Gray became aware of the Phoenix Force. And it took four years for the story to develop until the “Dark” part began. The masterminds behind the story are John Byrne and Chris Claremont. And even though there were some attempts to bring back Jean and tell the story from another angle, no one managed to match the success of this saga.

When this issue came out in 1973, everyone was used to the concept that the hero will always save the girl. Well, this comic book proved them wrong. The events from issues 121-122 changed Peter Parker’s life for good because he lost his girlfriend when Green Goblin attacked them. There are few people in the comic book industry that are as famous as David Mazzucchelli and Frank Miller, and it is simply because they make fantastic comic books that are read for generations. This duo thrived all through 1986 and 1987 when they decided to bring back to life Daredevil. The vigilante hero wasn’t very popular at the time. But after Frank Miller and David Mazzucchelli started working on the story, everything changed. In this story, they tell Daredevil’s journey from losing all hope to being reborn better and stronger than ever before.
