Marvel Comics is known for creating some of the best superheroes of all time. Spiderman, Captain America, The Hulk, and Thor are just some of the characters that we all know and love. In 2021, Marvel marked their 60th anniversary, and it was a huge milestone for the company that has brought us so many fantastic stories. In this article, we’ll take a walk down memory lane and discover which were the best stories that Marvel published.

Infinity Gauntlet

Perhaps one of the best stories that were published by Marvel and the story that was used as an inspiration for two major movies, Avengers: Infinity War and Endgame, Infinity Gauntlet is every comic-fan dream come true. It tells the story of heroes united against Thanos who’s after Infinity stones that will enable him to alter reality. And unlike many other publications at the time, this one showed us what would happen if the heroes failed. Made by Jim Starlin, George Perez, and Ron Lim, Infinity Gauntlet is a comic book that will leave you speechless.

X-Men: The Dark Phoenix Saga

According to many X-Men fans, this saga is what made X-Men so popular worldwide. The entire saga had a long time coming. One can trace its beginning in 1976 when Jean Gray became aware of the Phoenix Force. And it took four years for the story to develop until the “Dark” part began. The masterminds behind the story are John Byrne and Chris Claremont. And even though there were some attempts to bring back Jean and tell the story from another angle, no one managed to match the success of this saga.

Amazing Spider-Man: The Night Gwen Stacy Died

When this issue came out in 1973, everyone was used to the concept that the hero will always save the girl. Well, this comic book proved them wrong. The events from issues 121-122 changed Peter Parker’s life for good because he lost his girlfriend when Green Goblin attacked them. The title of the comic was a major spoiler, but still, everyone read it.

Daredevil – Born Again

There are few people in the comic book industry that are as famous as David Mazzucchelli and Frank Miller, and it is simply because they make fantastic comic books that are read for generations. This duo thrived all through 1986 and 1987 when they decided to bring back to life Daredevil. The vigilante hero wasn’t very popular at the time. But after Frank Miller and David Mazzucchelli started working on the story, everything changed. In this story, they tell Daredevil’s journey from losing all hope to being reborn better and stronger than ever before.
